The Louisiana Medicaid
Program works like other insurance coverage in many ways.
Louisiana Medicaid pays health care providers directly
for covered services, after all other medical insurances,
including Medicare, have paid. Certified recipients who pay
for medical expenses themselves may be reimbursed by Medicaid.
Louisiana's Medicaid
Program is an equal opportunity program. No person may be
discriminated against based on race, color, sex, age,
handicap, religion, nationality, or political belief. |
